Bifold doors fold back on themselves and stack to one side, so most of the opening clears. They’re the choice when you want the living room and the deck to feel like one space on a good day. Vantage makes bifold windows too, handy over a kitchen bench that opens onto an outdoor bar or barbecue area.
Bifolds are an aluminium job: Klima’s uPVC range doesn’t come in a bifold format.
Hinged and French doors
A single hinged door suits a side entry or a bedroom onto the deck. French doors are a pair that open from the middle, so you get a wide opening without a track across the floor.
