Terms of Trade
The terms that apply to our quotes and to the windows and doors we supply.

These Terms of Trade apply to every quote we give and every order we accept for windows, doors and other joinery supplied by Evolution Windows NZ Limited ("we", "us"). Please read them with your quote.
Quotes
We prepare quotes from the plans, drawings, photos and measurements you give us, or from a site measure. Quotes generally take around five working days; larger or more detailed jobs, and jobs that include installation, can take longer. A quote covers only the items and options listed on it.
Accepting a quote
You accept a quote by signing it or accepting it by email, and paying the deposit. Once you accept, we confirm the details of your order with you, including colours, hardware and the configuration of each unit.
Final measure
Before we order, we book a time with you and your installer for a final measure. The final measure confirms the final sizes of all units. Changes to sizes or details after the final measure may change the price and the lead time.
Payment
A 50% deposit is payable when you accept your quote, into the bank account shown on the quote. On completion of your job you will be invoiced for the final 50%.
From time to time delays occur. Payment is still due for all work completed, even if you are not ready to take delivery.
Builders and contractors with a trade account pay on the terms agreed in writing for that account. Contact us to apply for a trade account.
Lead times
Once a job is accepted it generally takes around eight weeks to supply. Lead times are estimates and can be longer at busy times. Check our current lead times before you go ahead.
Delivery
We deliver to the kerb. Beyond this, you must have two people on site to receive the items. Please check your joinery on delivery and tell us about any damage or missing items straight away.
Installation
We do not directly employ installers. Installation is carried out by your installer or builder, or by a builder we recommend, under your own agreement with them. Installation warranties depend on who installs your joinery and your agreement with them.
Warranty
Our joinery is warranted by component: workmanship 5 years; standard powder coating 10 years, with longer periods for other applications; glass 12 years; hardware 5 years unless otherwise specified. Special colours, hardware, more unusual options and client-supplied hardware may have different warranty periods or no warranty cover at all. Warranties depend on the care and maintenance guidelines being followed. See Warranty and care.
Building consent
You are responsible for any building consent your project needs. Like-for-like replacement of windows and doors does not usually need consent, but check with your builder or council.
Your consumer rights
If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you are buying for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent the law allows.
Privacy
We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
