Aluminium windows
Polyamide thermal barrier, Low-E and argon options
We make Vantage aluminium windows to measure in our Wainuiomata factory, for new builds, renovations and like-for-like swaps of tired old joinery.

Vantage makes aluminium windows in awning and casement, sliding, bifold, fixed and picture, louvre and roof styles, plus custom shapes when a plan calls for something unusual. One house can mix several: awnings over the kitchen bench, a big fixed pane facing the view, a louvre in the bathroom.
- Awning and casement windows hinge at the top or the side and suit almost any room.
- Sliding windows give you plenty of light and airflow without a sash swinging out.
- Louvres open right up when a room needs as much fresh air as it can get.
- Fixed and picture windows put glass where you want the view, not the vent.
Three series to build from
Every window starts as one of Vantage’s series, and the right one depends on the house.
Residential Series is the most economical, mainstream range. Metro Series is heavier duty and stylish enough for architectural work as well as houses. APL Architectural Series has square edges and flush surfaces, aimed at architectural homes and apartments.
Each series also comes as a ThermalHeart+ version.
ThermalHeart+ frames
Aluminium carries heat and cold well, which is great for a pot and less great for a window frame in a Wellington winter. ThermalHeart+ frames have a polyamide barrier through the core of the frame, so the inside and outside of the aluminium are separated.
Vantage rates ThermalHeart+ frames at almost double the thermal performance of standard, non-thermally improved aluminium windows and doors, based on its modelling of an average house. Pair them with Low-E double glazing and you’re well on the way to meeting the H1 energy rules for a new build.
Glass that suits the room
Our windows are glazed with AGP double glazed units, with Low-E coatings and argon gas as options. Bathrooms, ensuites and anything facing the street can have obscure glass, and we’ll talk you through the glass choices when we quote.
Fresh air with the windows shut
Vantage’s passive ventilation range lets air in without opening a window. Aerovent sits in the frame, Sashvent works through the bottom of an opening window, and Ventient is a self-adjusting trickle vent for higher-end homes and commercial jobs.
